Why EverGo Media Exists: Sharing Missionary Stories Through Video

A few years ago, a friend asked me to help share her missionary journey to Cambodia. She sent me all of her photos and video, and I integrated a little stock footage to create a presentation video for her deputation. Later, she shared some of the feedback she had received: people were saying it looked professionally done. At that moment, I realized something important—my video editing and storytelling skills could serve a larger purpose: helping missionaries and ministries tell their stories in ways that truly connect with people.

As I’ve attended mission conferences over the years, I’ve noticed a common pattern. Many ministries rely on simple PowerPoint slides—or sometimes nothing at all—to present their story. While the message is often powerful, the emotional impact can get lost without visuals that engage the audience. Presentations may also lack accessibility for all viewers, like captions for those who are deaf, which limits who can experience the story. I saw a gap: creating professional-quality ministry presentation videos is a rare skill, often thought to require a studio or a specialized team. But with creativity, thoughtful editing, and the right tools, it’s possible to produce high-quality, meaningful videos without a studio.

Serving missionaries and ministries through storytelling feels like a natural extension of my heart for missions. After the Cambodia project, I prayed for another opportunity, and it came sooner than expected. A visiting missionary asked if I could put together a presentation video for their ministry while they were in the States. They sent me photos and video, and I created a story with a creative title, an engaging ending, and music to tie it all together. They loved it—and I was encouraged that my skills could be a way to serve ministries on and off the field.

My experience on mission trips, like in India and Nepal, has reinforced this vision. Being on the field with our team, capturing their story in real time, and then translating those moments into a video that shares both the heart and the impact of the mission, reminded me how powerful visual storytelling can be. Each project, whether I’m editing existing footage or creating a video on location, is an opportunity to learn, grow, and help others share their stories with the world.

I’m still developing my skills—learning new techniques, experimenting with creative ways to tell stories—but that’s part of the journey. Every project is both a challenge and a blessing: a chance to improve my craft while helping ministries share their stories in ways that reach hearts and inspire action.

EverGo Media exists to fill this need. Our goal is simple: to help missionaries and ministries tell their stories through professional-quality video storytelling, making sure their work is seen, understood, and felt. I pray that God continues to send ministries and missionaries to collaborate with us, so together we can share more stories that might otherwise go unseen.

We plan to share updates and stories quarterly, highlighting the ministries we serve and the ways storytelling can make a difference. I hope you’ll follow along, and maybe even reach out if you have a ministry story that needs to be told. After all, every story deserves to be shared well.

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." - Mark 16:15 (KJV)
